Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Glass and Ceramic Engineering
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implement the necessary measures to improve the refractory usage and quality.
∎ Coordinate and consult with other dept. to ensure efficient operation
∎ Continuous monitoring of QEAF process and slag condition monitoring during melting.
∎ Ensure proper circulation of ladles for smooth operation
∎ Daily shop floor consumption/stock monitoring & maintaining optimum shop floor stock for smooth operation.
∎ Refractory All activities record maintain.
∎ Effective implement of analytical thinking to optimize consumption
∎ Issue refractory materials from store to lining section.
∎ Continuous monitoring of Ladle during LF operation at LRF.
∎ Ensure proper purging effectiveness of ladle in slide gate by lancing/cleaning/monitoring
∎ Supervising of all refractory material handling.
∎ Ensure effective refractory planning.
∎ Ensure effective utilization of refractory resources require for production.
∎ Ladle preparation, slide gate maintains, purging check, lining check.
∎ Tundish management (preparation, drying & on time delivery to caster).
∎ QEAF preparation, lining and on time delivery to operation
∎ Provide training and develop subordinates.
∎ Follow up safety related issues like ensuring PPE, Work permit, regulate hazard identification and elimination.
