Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Operate the Tower Crane in a safe and appropriate manner.
∎ Lift & move building materials from ground storage areas and trucks to high rise building construction.
∎ Control crane movement in response to the signals or orders by the supervisor.
∎ Perform pre-operational tests, inspection of load line and crane parts and scheduled maintenance for lubrication of mechanical systems.
∎ Inspect and adjust Tower Crane mechanisms and lifting accessories in order to prevent malfunctions and damage.
∎ Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities in order to prevent overload.
∎ Maintaining “log-book” regularly.
∎ Keeping the working place area clean and tidy.
∎ Checking daily “check list” regularly.
∎ Informing supervisor regarding time schedule of servicing of the Tower Crane.
∎ Timely informing supervisor regarding any problem regarding the Tower Crane.
∎ Ensure maintenance of Tower Crane is timely completed.
∎ Ensure daily cleaning of Tower Crane after completing daily work activities.
∎ Ensure organization’s safety rules and regulations are followed at all times.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by the concerned supervisor.
