Responsibilities & Context:
Technician – Job Responsibilities (Textile & Garments)
1. Machine Operation & Technical Maintenance
Equipment Maintenance: Execute routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on textile manufacturing, spinning, weaving, finishing, and garments machinery.
Machine Calibration: Calibrate and adjust machines to ensure correct settings for processing various materials including 100% cotton, 100% polyester, cotton-elastane blends, synthetic fibers, and wool.
Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, or operational breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime on the production line.
2. Production Process Support
Yarn & Fabric Processing: Monitor and manage technical specifications during yarn manufacturing, fabric weaving, knit/woven processing, and garment production.
Chemical & Dye Handling: Safely measure, prepare, and apply chemical dyes and finishing agents required for fabric processing and finishing according to exact formula specifications.
Quality Control: Inspect ongoing production batches (yarn, fabrics, garments) to ensure compliance with required standards, design specifications, and quality controls.
3. Operational Safety & Facility Management
Safety Protocols: Adhere strictly to factory safety regulations, chemical handling guidelines, and proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Inventory & Spare Parts: Assist in tracking maintenance logs, tools, chemical inventory, dye stocks, and spare parts needed for machinery upkeep.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate daily operation logs, technical reports, and maintenance history for department supervision.
