Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Technical Specialist - Quality Assurance & Capacity Building ensures quality standards of clinical services & strengthens public health service providers at the Community/Union/ Upazila levels in providing quality primary health care in Ukiya and Teknaf Upazilas of Cox's Bazar. This position is solely responsible for capacity building for government and partner staff in Sexual Reproductive Maternal Neonatal Child and Adolescent Health (SRMNCAH), Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), Infection Prevention & Control (IPC), and Nutrition intervention. S/he also provides supportive supervision and hands-on training to Partner staff in the Community/ Union/ Upazila levels to ensure that treatment guidelines are followed, and quality health care is provided. In addition, S/he also adopts and contextualizes IEC and BCC materials on SRMNCAH, Nutrition, hygiene, and health education, including COVID-19 prevention for project participants.
∎ This position will not be providing direct patient care but rather focusing on the capacity-building initiative for project & government staff and providing supportive supervision and on-the-job training.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Preferably 5 years of working experience in delivering SRMNCAH services in development/humanitarian settings and closely working with the MoH.
∎ Sound knowledge of the Bangladesh health system and development/humanitarian context, excellent technical knowledge of SRMNCAH.
∎ Basic understanding of epidemic disease.
∎ Strong communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English.
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
∎ Problem-solving, decision-making, and report-writing skills.
∎ Able and willing to travel to remote and insecure locations to live for periods of time and at short notice.
