Required Qualifications & Experience

• Approximately 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 3+ years in a technical leadership role.

• Strong experience with Laravel/PHP, REST APIs, relational databases and modern web application architecture.

• Experience with Flutter and mobile application development.

• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure, DevOps and CI/CD.

• Good understanding of scalable backend systems, databases and API architecture.

• Strong knowledge of application security, cybersecurity and data protection principles.

• Experience managing developers, technical vendors and production environments.

• Ability to review source code and make hands-on technical and architectural decisions.

• Proven hands-on experience managing the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, deployment, maintenance and technical decision-making.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following areas will be considered an advantage:

• Telehealth, HealthTech or healthcare software platforms

• Hospital, laboratory or clinical system integrations

• FHIR, HL7, DICOM or other healthcare interoperability standards

• Payment gateway and insurance integrations

During the initial period, the Technical Lead will focus on:

• Completing the technical handover from the existing vendor.

• Reviewing the current architecture, source code and AWS environment.

• Identifying security, performance and technical risks.

• Establishing proper development, testing and deployment processes.

• Preparing a prioritized product and technology roadmap.

• Building the required in-house development team in Dhaka.

Our operations are being developed for multiple international markets, with strong emphasis on data privacy, cybersecurity, system reliability and healthcare compliance.

As part of our next phase of growth, we are establishing a strong in-house technology team in Dhaka, Bangladesh to take ownership of the platform, accelerate product development and support future international expansion.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to take end-to-end technical ownership of our digital healthcare platform, including web applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, security and external integrations.

The successful candidate will initially lead the technical takeover and assessment of an existing vendor-developed platform and subsequently build and manage an in-house engineering team in Dhaka.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical judgment, architecture capability and the ability to work closely with senior management, developers, vendors and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Take complete technical ownership of the existing platform, source code, databases, APIs, infrastructure and deployment environment.

• Lead structured technical handover from existing development vendors.

• Conduct architecture, code quality, security, performance and scalability reviews.

• Lead ongoing development of the web platform, backend systems, APIs and Flutter mobile applications.

• Define system architecture and development standards for future growth.

• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure, DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, backups and disaster recovery.

• Implement strong application security, encryption, authentication, authorization and audit controls.

• Support integrations with hospitals, laboratories, payment gateways, insurance providers and other healthcare systems.

• Implement healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7 and DICOM, where applicable.

• Establish structured QA, testing, staging and release-management processes.

• Troubleshoot and resolve critical production and infrastructure issues.

• Recruit, mentor and manage an internal engineering team.

• Review developer work and maintain high standards for code quality and documentation.

• Translate business and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Manage technical vendors, external developers and technology partners.

• Support technical planning for new modules, countries and future platform expansion.
