Job Context:
∎ ZICOM Equipment Pte Ltd is an Australian Stock Exchange listed company with its Corporate Office in Brisbane, Australia, and its Operations HQ in Singapore. Since 1974, ZEPL has transformed itself from a trading company to a reputable EPC contractor in the Oil, Gas & Energy Industry. We are looking for Engineer / Senior Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation) for our Bangladesh office who has practical experience in the similar area.
∎ Job Location: Based in Dhaka. Can be posted anywhere in Bangladesh.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ System Design and Analysis:
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop control system specifications.
∎ Analyze and model dynamic systems to determine control strategies and system behavior.
∎ Control System Development:
∎ Design and implement control algorithms, logic, and software for process control systems.
∎ Develop and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems.
∎ Hardware and Software Integration:
∎ Select and integrate sensors, actuators, and instrumentation components into control systems.
∎ Develop and maintain communication protocols for data exchange between various control devices.
∎ Testing and Debugging:
∎ Conduct thorough testing and simulation to validate control system performance and identify potential issues.
∎ Troubleshoot and resolve control system faults, anomalies, and hardware/software conflicts.
∎ Documentation:
∎ Create and maintain detailed documentation, including control system specifications, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
∎ Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
∎ Commissioning and Maintenance:
∎ Assist in the commissioning of control systems at client sites, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
∎ Provide ongoing support and maintenance to optimize system performance and address any issues that arise.
∎ Continuous Improvement:
∎ Stay up-to-date with advancements in control engineering technology and best practices.
∎ Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend innovative solutions.
∎ Collaboration and Communication:
∎ Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Instrumentation engineers, Process engineers, and project managers.
∎ Communicate technical concepts and progress effectively to team members and clients.
∎ And performing any other tasks assigned by the management.
∎ Preferred Skills (Optional):
∎ Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC, Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
∎ Knowledge of SCADA systems and HMI design.
∎ Familiarity with PLC programming software (e.g., ABB, Allen Bradley, Honeywell).
∎ Familiar with IEC, ISA standard;
∎ Project management skills for handling small to medium-sized projects.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have knowledge on MS Office and AutoCAD 2D.
