Job Responsibilities:
∎ Job Responsibilities
∎ • Engage with customer on sustainability and environmental initiatives
∎ • Inform internal strategy based on customer analysis
∎ • Complete customer data requests around environmenal initiatitives
∎ • Implement, Manage, and Analyze internal environmental initiatives throughout supply chain
∎ • Execute global environment and sustainability strategy to facility level with targets and action plans
∎ • Conduct internal training for cross functional departments as well as support supply chain training on environmental matters
∎ • Implementation of environmental management system in the scope of ISO 14001 standart requirements and coordinate continious improvement of the system
∎ • Gather, consolidate and analyze environmental datas such as (waste,water wastewater,energy,emission etc.) from production and sources through systems such as Higg FEM and other 3rd party sources
∎ • Identify opportunities to adress key environmental topics and propose concrete measures to reduce environmental impact of the operations
∎ • Track and manage key metrics and KPIs and work closely with global environmental leader to communicate group sustainability achievements
∎ • Implementation of Higg Facility Environmental Tool (FEM) in the production facility as well as follow up facility performance and developing improvement projects
∎ • Manage facility performance and progress of strategies on environmental and sustainability
∎ • Adoption of ZDHC (Zero Discharge Hazardous Chemicals Programme, Roadmap to Zero) Wastewater and MRSL guideline requirements to operations and regulary follow up the updates
∎ • Working closely with related departments (quality, health & safety, final control etc.) to manage Restricted Substances Management and in case of non compliance issues developing remendiation plan & projects with the team
∎ • Represent facility in the best possible way during environmental, sustainability and related audits and verifications
∎ • Work closely with other relevant departments to ensure the successful adoption of more sustainable practices (quality, raw materials, sourcing etc.)
∎ • Manage supplier and subcontractor evaluations, projects and partnerships on environmental and sustaianbaility performance
∎ • Conducting information flow with global environmental leader and compliance team
∎ • Reporting facility environment and sustainability performance monthly to facility top management and quarterly with the global environmental leader.
∎ Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
∎ • Education:Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental technology, Environmental Management, Chemistry, Chemical engineering or similar analytical discipline
∎ • At least 3 years’ experience from a similar role and knowledge of/experience working with the apparel/textile industry environmental and sustainability efforts
∎ • Some technical expertise on apparel production in textile industry preferred.
∎ • Passionate in Environmental Sustainability and committed to drive positive change
∎ • Experience with developing environmental management related factory improvement programs.
∎ • Experience in using Higg Index Tools required.
∎ • Experience in collecting, analyzing and reporting large volumes of environmental impacts data such as energy, chemical, waste, water use and efficiency data and generate consolidated reports and graphics.
∎ • Experience in policy and document writing and/or reviewing
∎ • Solid understanding of the apparel and textile industry, including upstream portions of the value chain (e.g. materials and manufacturing).
∎ • Strong data management,research analytical skills
∎ • Strong communication skills in written and spoken English,
∎ • Advanced capabilities in MS Office programs (excel,ppt etc.)
∎ • Good technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
∎ • Strong presentation and communication skills
∎ • Professional with an ability to represent the brand while engaging with external stakeholders
∎ • Creative problem solver with a holistic result-oriented mindset
