Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Keep necessary contact & liaisons with mother vessel’s officers ,carrier, respective point supervisor and lighter master.
∎ 2. Keep sharp Monitoring of cargo operation in mother vessel.
∎ 3. Assist vessel consignee /company’s representative in mother vessel.
∎ 4. Attend the survey point prior to the vessel’s arrival and take the arrival and departure data. If you cannot be early be on time.
∎ 5. Check the load line & condition of every lighter vessel prior loading .
∎ 6. Take the draft & freeboard precisely of six points.
∎ 7. Measure the length over all, breadth, depth and all ballast tanks by measuring tape.
∎ 8. Compare the discharge and arrival survey report to analyze how much cargo/ballast has been lost or gained.
∎ 9. Monitor the cargo operation in discharging point if necessary.
∎ 10. Take the load ship data as well as the light ship data.
∎ 11. Collect all the previous data (survey report, boat note etc) and check the registration paper of the lighter ship.
∎ 12. Give all the report and data to the respective Sr. Executive Surveyor and inform all the information of lighter vessel.
∎ 13. It is to be bored in mind that during the cargo operations any incident that deems unusual must be reported to the concerned persons.
∎ 14. In no case & circumstance should the surveyor do any act that is indecent, immoral, against the company and humanity.
∎ 15. Submit the daily report within the due date.
∎ 16. Please ensure your own safety and help others to take precautionary measures.
∎ 17. Be in a state of readiness for operation & remain vigilant at all times.
∎ 18. Don’t take it as a job but take it as a responsibility and enjoy your job.
