Job Context:
∎ The Supply Chain Assistant will assist with procurement, fleet management, warehousing and admin related tasks. He/She will ensure these services are responsive to programme needs and give quality and timely support to the program. This role must familiarize him/herself with the IRC procurement manual and fleet manual, as well as programme components and activities.

∎ Work Location: IRC-Bangladesh, Ukhiya Office
∎ Reporting to: Senior Operations Officer
∎ Contract Length: 1 Year (with possibility of extension subject to funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Procurement
∎ Responsible for all the procurement of goods and services in Ukhia as required by the programs, operations and the field needs.
∎ Do procurement according to the procurement plans shared by the program in the field and assist the programs with all the procurement's and delivery goods.
∎ Follow all IRC procurement policies and standards, and goods/services are procured efficiently;
∎ Assist the SSC in creating and maintaining a supplier data base for Ukhia and work with the SPC to identify vendors for the MPAs;
∎ Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of goods or services ordered; assist in returns/exchanges/warranty repairs.
∎ Update the program team and the operations on timely manner on the progress of the procurements being done in the field.
∎ Share on weekly basis the PRTs with the program team and track the procurements where necessary.
∎ Share weekly procurements reports with the SSC and the SPC and highlight challenges where applicable.
∎ Assets Management:
∎ Assist in the management and disposal of assets in accordance with IRC and donor guidelines;
∎ Record any damages or faulty items and arrange with technical staff to have the fixed if possible/cost effective;
∎ Assist the asset and inventory officer with asset checks for the Ukhia office and locations.
∎ Assist in compiling the assets list for all the assets that are in Ukhiya and coordinate the asset tracking with the asset staff in Cox’s Bazar.
∎ Warehouse and Inventory Management:
∎ Assist the warehouse officer on a needs basis for IRC warehouse location(s) in Ukhia; and assist in the distribution of items in the field when assigned.
∎ Ensure that office consumables needs are reported to the SSC in a timely fashion with the support of the Office Assistant in the field;
∎ Ensuring proper stock control measures are in place as per IRC procedures;
∎ Issue stationary and office consumables to staff and record as per IRC procedures; Record all stock in/out from the office store room.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 22 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience of working with UN or Non-Governmental Organizations preferred but not essential;
∎ Experience working in a situation where there are conflicting deadlines and work has to be prioritized.
∎ Experience in managing fleet, procurement and warehouse management.
∎ Good Excel and Microsoft Word abilities; familiarity with Outlook desirable;
∎ Working knowledge of English is essential;
∎ Written and spoken fluency in Bangla and English required;
∎ Good interpersonal and team skills;
∎ Good team work and able to manage stress.
∎ Commitment to and understanding of IRC’s aims, values and principles
∎ Fluent in English and Bangla

Salary: Tk. 42000 (Monthly)
