Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The role of the Shift Engineer is primarily to support the running of the factory by resolving breakdowns and by delivering maintenance. Secondly they are also required to drive improvement across the site in terms of new machinery, quality, and performance:
∎ o Overall supervision of schedule maintenance for on time execution and report.
∎ o To carry out all mechanical maintenance activities as per Cement Industries standards to achieve the targeted availability of equipment's.
∎ o Develop sub-ordinates by imparting training to Fitter, Welder, Rigger, lathe operator & mechanical Helper (ETA).
∎ o Effective utilization of spare parts, materials, manpower etc.
∎ o Trouble shooting & fabrication of mechanical engineering and performs repairing work under close supervision.
∎ o Responsible for recording of daily shift job activities.
∎ o Involvement in mechanical modification/improvement activities in the assigned area.
∎ o To reduce the cost on mechanical maintenance activities in the assigned area.
∎ o Follow safety guide lines 'Zero Tolerance' for unsafe activity by creating awareness among the employees.
∎ o Ensure preventive maintenance of the mechanical system.
∎ o Follows safety rules and regulations.
