Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervise and manage all aspects of the hospital's inventory, including medical supplies, and equipment.
∎ Receive, inspect, and record incoming supplies, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
∎ Implement efficient stock management procedures to prevent stockouts and minimize wastage.
∎ Collaborate with the purchasing department to maintain optimum stock levels while controlling costs.
∎ Monitor expiry dates of products and conduct regular stock audits to maintain a safe and effective inventory.
∎ Coordinate with department heads to assess their inventory needs and provide timely support.
∎ Train and lead a team of store assistants to carry out daily operations effectively.
∎ Maintain proper documentation for all inventory transactions and generate reports as required.
∎ Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and hospital policies related to inventory management and safety.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
∎ Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail.
∎ Knowledge of inventory software and proficiency in using computer applications.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments effectively.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
∎ Prior leadership or supervisory experience will be an advantage.
