Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc/ Diploma in Nursing from reputed institute.
∎ Additional training/degree/qualification in the relevant field will be an added advantage
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure that nursing care plans are written and up to date
∎ Maintain ward records. Ensure proper use of all hospital equipment. Maintaining economical use and reporting all equipment malfunctions
∎ Check all equipment for normal function on daily basis. Ensure continuity of care by communicating and reporting all patient care plans and activities to appropriate personnel
∎ Reports to the Supervisor, Nursing Services. Plans and implements care accordingly. Evaluates goals and objectives of care plans. Attends and participates in all meetings as required
∎ Welcomes new patients to the ward and provides information of ward schedules and activities. Encourages function of health and precaution of illness at all times. Act always in such a way as to promote and safeguard the well-being and interest of patients
∎ To care for allocated patients, and implement agreed actions, ensuring full communication and documentation of outcomes
∎ To ensure health and safety, infection control and security policies are implemented maintaining a clean, safe and secure environment for patients, visitors
∎ To ensure confidentiality of information pertaining to patients, family members and staff always
∎ To monitor the use of clinical equipment ensuring staff are provided with training for its safe and appropriate use. Identify problems or deficits and reporting those in line with Hospital's policy and procedures
∎ Assist Medical Doctor in conducting health examination including history taking, measurement, treatment, medicine management and dispensing, and collating medical reports and also in performing medical procedure
∎ Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 28 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Good technical knowledge and skills on Specialty/area wise medical equipment and machines
∎ Accountability, Continuous Learning, Communication, Creativity and Initiative, Leadership and Negotiation
∎ Performance Management, Planning and Organizing, Professionalism, Teamwork, Technological Awareness
∎ The incumbent must be licensed as a Registered Nurse.
