∎ We are looking for a committed & performance driven candidate for the following position in its Commercial Department:
∎ To lead a team of chemical engineers and overseeing the procurement of chemical products and raw materials. To work closely with other departments, including logistics, production, quality control, and finance, to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of chemical products and raw materials.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead a team of chemical engineers to procure chemical products and raw materials.
∎ Collaborate with logistics, production, quality control, and finance departments to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
∎ Develop and maintain procurement strategies for chemical products and raw materials.
∎ Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for employees.
∎ Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of chemical products and raw materials.
∎ Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in the procurement process.
∎ Conduct training and development for chemical engineering team members.
∎ Develop and manage procurement budgets and cost estimates.
∎ Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends in procurement.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 10+ years of experience in chemical engineering and procurement, with experience in managing a procurement team.
∎ Strong knowledge of chemical processes, equipment, and systems in a procurement context.
∎ Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies for chemical products and raw materials.
∎ Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance in the workplace.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
∎ Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
∎ Experience in cost reduction and process improvement initiatives in a procurement context.
∎ Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering software applications.
∎ Willingness to stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends in procurement.
∎ Experience with procurement tools such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred.
∎ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
∎ Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships.
∎ Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
