Education:
∎ B.Sc./M.Sc. in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/ Chemical) from any reputed institution with MBA in SCM is preferable

∎ A professional degree in Supply Chain Management is preferred
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Performing all local procurement processes for Chemical industries i.e., strategic sourcing, contract management, negotiations, supplier selection, supplier segmentation in compliance with procurement policy & sole responsibility for Procuring Mechanical / electrical items, Spare parts and all heavy industry project-based items, etc.
∎ Responsible for planning, purchasing and receiving all activities related to purchasing and delivering commodity items in a timely and cost-effective way
∎ Ensure cost control and adequate analysis of standard cost, cost saving, inflation, material spending, etc.
∎ Calculation of total landed cost for selecting optimum source for procurement, Local or foreign by calculating cost & impact on organization’s profitability
∎ Proactively coordinates and manages the commodity pipelines to ensure that there are no interruptions in stocks
∎ Collaborate with all cross-functional departments (accounts, production and other departments) to ensure smooth operations
∎ Performing all procurement-related works from scrutinizing purchase requisition, verifying specifications, collecting commercial proposals and negotiating & evaluating offers through CS, till the issuance of the Purchase order
∎ PR reviews, checks and prepares purchase orders in ERP software.
∎ Properly check requisition quantity & purpose of the demand and use lead time
∎ Collect quotations from the supplier & CS preparation as well as collect approval
∎ Handling MRR and preparing bills as well as submission to the accounts dept. for vendor payment
∎ Checking inventory on software & physical inventory, supplier capability of goods with audit team
∎ Use strategic sourcing process for rare electrical items to collect
∎ Stay updated for alternative product information always
∎ Visit local market & vendor’s factory to observe the production process of electrical spare items
∎ Facilitate selection of appropriate vendors for vendor enlistment, approval by management and update from time to time
∎ Establish, negotiate and develop contract terms and conditions maintaining relationships with suppliers for implementing contracts
∎ Maintain procurement records, including electronic records and other systems ensuring the accuracy and availability of data
∎ Maintain liaison with different Govt. officials ie. BSTI, Radiation, Environment & Explosive department
∎ Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive decision-making
∎ Strong focus on ethical business practices, honesty and integrity
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the management for the sake of the company
