Educational Requirements:
∎ DA/MD/FCPS/ MRCP/ MRCS/ MS or equivalent in relevant discipline.
Job Context:
∎ We are looking for Specialist/Intensivist for Critical Care Medicine (ICU/CCU).
∎ Required to have hands-on practical/clinical experience in relevant discipline; with post-graduate qualification is preferable.
∎ Job Location: Foy’s Lake, Chattogram.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Specialist will supervise the Medical Officers in the management of the admitted patients.
∎ He/she will respond to the call from IPD and/or Emergency and manage the case; and will inform the consultant if necessary about the outcome.
∎ The Specialist will make rounds and see all admitted patients, check if the Consultants instructions have been carried out and also discuss with Consultant if the patient condition so requires.
∎ Specialist will attend the calls from other departments requesting consultations for both in-patients and emergency and provide assistance, as required. S/he will discuss the case with Consultants, if required.
∎ During the routine surgical operative procedures (if applicable), the Specialists will assist the Consultants and in selective cases perform the operation if the Consultant agrees and delegates the responsibility to the specialist.
∎ The intensivist will look after the management and treatment of patients admitted in ICU/ CCU and generally ensure that the instructions of the Consultants are being properly followed up
∎ The intensivist will coordinate and seek advice from Consultants regarding the treatment plan and management of their patients admitted in the critical areas
∎ Being a senior physician and as a factor in overall improvement of patient care, it is expected that whenever possible, the Specialists/Intensivists will conduct teaching for the MOs of their respective department and will also actively take part in arranging and conducting Continuous Professional Development (Continuous Medical Education) programs within the department and if possible as part of the hospital activities.
∎ Employment Status: Full-time as per institutional rules.

∎ Candidate should be proficient in using Microsoft Office.
∎ Should have good command on English & Bangla with good speaking and writing skills.
∎ Should be enthusiastic, pro-active, dedicated, punctual and hard-working.
∎ Should have good interpersonal and presentation skills.
Salary:
∎ Negotiable as per institutional policy.
