Educational Requirements:
∎ MBBS with DGO/MS/FCPS in Obs & Gynae

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide specialist consultation and surgical interventions as may be required by the referred patients, prescribe medication, interpret investigations and treatment
∎ Carry out daily ward rounds for admitted obstetric and gynecological patients including post-operative cases, with the support of other medical doctors, and health professionals working in this hospital.
∎ Overseeing and managing the indoor patients; supporting and train staff, advice on improvements to service delivery as well as direct provision of antenatal, perinatal and post-natal services for the complicated cases.
∎ Perform Caesarean operations, both as scheduled / elective and emergency operations.
∎ Provide on-the-job training to other junior doctors, nursing staffs and other related health staffs; contribute in the process for improvement of patient's management practices and other quality best practices with the aim of improving patients' treatment outcomes.
∎ Always being available to attend obstetrics emergencies by being the first on-call if required to ensure the emergency services for the 24/7.
∎ Privileges and performance should be evaluated periodically.
∎ As a Specialist, he/she will be working under direct supervision and control of Consultants / Coordinator appointed in the specialty area, permanently or by rotation.
∎ He/she will not be permitted to practice in his/her specialty or any other specialty in any capacity outside the hospital.
∎ He/she will not be permitted any attachment with other Hospitals, Nursing homes or Diagnostic Centers of any kind.
∎ He/she is responsible to maintain discipline amongst subordinate staff and will be directly responsible for the quality of work.
∎ He/she will not act in any manner that is likely to bring discredit to the Hospital or another Consultant colleague working in this Hospital
∎ Responsible for providing adequate treatment to the patient as advised and to check the dosage, frequency, route of administrations of all medications, considering all precautions.
∎ Follow hospital practices and demonstrate initiative aligned to ensuring the safest possible environment for patients and staff.
∎ Any other job assigned by the supervisor or the authority
