Job Responsibilities:
∎ Evaluating sourcing procedures and presenting improvement strategies to senior management for approval.
∎ Analyzing and calculating procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies.
∎ Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.
∎ Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality.
∎ Collaborating with the procurement department to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities.
∎ Conducting market research as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts.
∎ Estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry regulations.
∎ Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships.
∎ Develop and Execute purchasing strategies based on business, market and technology trends and establish strong and competitive supply base.
∎ Analyze all suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high quality products at competitive pricing.
∎ Work with engineering to understand new parts, design changes and communicate those changes to the supplier while upholding proper sourcing and change management procedures.
∎ Collaborate with manufacturing to make sure they are fully supported & have everything they need from supply chain to be successful.
∎ Create RFQs, review, analyze and clarify quotations from suppliers and develop sound sourcing and business recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead-time and technical considerations.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 22 to 30 years
∎ At least 1-2 years procurement experience in a related industry.
∎ Advanced ability to collaborate and negotiate.
∎ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
∎ Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
∎ Strong skills in sourcing of electro-mechanical parts, proprietary/bought out items, automobile items.
∎ Applicants should have good interpersonal communication skills and should be fluent in English in any form of communication.
∎ Applicants must have basic knowledge of imports, ie, Bangladesh IPO, UCP 600, Incoterms, Letter of Credits, Tariff Schedule, Customs and VAT SROs, basic knowledge of VAT and Taxes.
∎ Should have knowledge to work with Microsoft Office.
Salary: Negotiable
