Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Site Supervision & Management: Oversee and supervise daily construction activities on-site.
∎ Ensure the construction process is carried out as per approved plans, designs, and specifications.
∎ Monitor work progress and schedule to meet project deadlines.
∎ Provide technical support to contractors and construction workers. Quality Assurance & Control: Ensure the quality of materials and workmanship meets required standards.
∎ Conduct regular inspections and tests on materials, structures, and processes to verify compliance with specifications.
∎ Identify and address any quality issues or discrepancies, and take corrective action when necessary.
∎ Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment for all workers.
∎ Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
∎ Ensure the project is in compliance with all local building codes, environmental regulations, and legal requirements.
∎ Problem Solving & Decision Making: Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site technical or engineering issues.
∎ Review plans and make recommendations to optimize designs or address practical challenges during construction.
∎ Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of construction activities, including progress reports, change orders, and daily logs.
∎ Prepare periodic progress reports and submit them to the project manager or client.
∎ Review and approve contractor payments based on work completed.
∎ Coordination & Communication: Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
∎ Coordinate between different teams, including architects, project managers, and construction workers, to ensure smooth project flow.
∎ Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address concerns and provide updates on project status.
∎ Project Planning & Resource Management: Assist in developing detailed project schedules and plans. Help in managing site resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, ensuring they are efficiently utilized.
