Educational Requirements:
∎ At least Graduate in the field of Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from a reputed university.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ Manage, guide and control all the Engineering related activities along with project work in order to ensure the continuous operation of the plant within agreed service levels and in adherence to HSE regulations.
∎ Evaluate the result of all projects and prepare recommendations for executives about significant changes that need to be made to resources, procedures, systems or technology.
∎ Liaise with other senior executives across the organization to ensure that process engineering recommendation and plans are integrated with other parts of the business and align with the overall corporate objective.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead the definition, approval and implementation of needed capital investment.
∎ Maintain effective communication with stakeholder regarding process development / improvements initiatives to ensure that all factors are taken into account.
∎ Analyze manufacturing performance and identify opportunities to increase products value and manufacturing effectiveness through design and process changes.
∎ Use engineering tools and other techniques as appropriate to monitoring and improve activities.
∎ Develop awareness of best industry practice through networking with Syngenta functional experts and external sources
∎ Lead the site team in conducting process risk assessments to ensure safe operations.
∎ Ensure all engineering is compliant with Syngenta HSE&Q standards and policies.
∎ As a member of the site leadership team, proactively contribute to the development and implementation of site strategy.
∎ Plan and coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance activities with internal Syngenta and external contract resource
∎ Develop and manage a dedicated maintenance budget that optimizes overall site costs and minimizes risk of lost sales.
∎ Coordinate breakdown solution resolution to maintain high plant availability.
∎ Develop and implement an effective preventive maintenance strategy.
∎ Support the definition, approval and implementation of needed capital investment.
∎ Coordinate the capability development and training validation of internal maintenance technicians.
∎ Coordinate, control and audit external contracted technicians, technical specialist, contractors and services.
∎ As a member of the site leadership team, proactively contribute to the development and implementation of site strategy.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience Requirements:
∎ • Experience in a fast moving manufacturing environment
∎ • At least 10 years experience in Engineering department along with 3/4 years experience as Engineering Manager with a reputed organisation.
∎ Critical Job Requirements:
∎ • HSE management systems.
∎ • In-depth knowledge of local rules and regulations governing HSE
∎ • Preventative maintenance techniques
∎ • Working knowledge of TPM an advantage
∎ • On hands experience in plant maintenance
∎ Key Interfaces:
∎ • Within function: Planning. Production, Quality, HSE, Continuous Improvement
∎ • Outside function: Procurement, Global Engineering and Maintenance
∎ Skills & Ability:
∎ • Strong language skills [English & Bengali]
∎ • Strong analytical skills
∎ • Good negotiation skills
∎ • Ability to motivate and lead the team
∎ • Strong IT skills
∎ • Excellent Team leadership capability
∎ • Excellent presentation skill
