Job Context:
∎ The Site engineer, reporting to the project Civil Engineer (CE). He will assist the CE in assessing detailed requirements for construction and repair-renovation at College of Nursing, Mohakhali. Planning and designing renovations, estimating bills of quantities of materials following standard specifications, costs and time schedules, supervising and monitoring quality of work and materials and provide necessary efforts for satisfactory completion of construction & repairs by the contractor.
∎ Duration of Contrct: 18 months
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist the CE to conduct needs assessment for Construction, repair- renovation at College of Nursing (CoN), Mohakhali, Dhaka.
∎ Assist in conducting detail engineering assessment of the NTTC and repair/renovation of CoN.
∎ Prepare plans and drawings as per practical site measurement and location.
∎ Ensure implementation work following strict adherence to approved design, drawings and plans.
∎ Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
∎ Prepare work and time schedule and follow pro-rata progress.
∎ Supervise every step of work to ensure quality and line & grade.
∎ Maintain records of day-to-day work measurement. Verify bills against this measurement and recommend for payment.
∎ Follow Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC) and guideline for construction work.
∎ A check list for construction materials shall be prepared and followed in every step of RCC and other components.
∎ Environmental compliance and ethics at the site of construction and repair/renovation must be ensured.
∎ Promptly inform to the CE, if any incidence occurs which may delay or jeopardize the project’s progress.
∎ Verify and check laboratory test results and frequency of tests of key construction materials as outlined in the bidding documents.
∎ Prepare list of goods with specification and prices to be required for supervision and related works.
∎ Perform any other task assigned by the CE/Project Management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years of experience in building construction/renovation work
∎ Experience in Civil Engineering drawing understanding, site preparation and supervision of contractor..
∎ Energetic, confident, smart and proactive
∎ Should be hard working and self-motivated
∎ Proficiency in Auto CAD, MS Word, MS Excel, email etc.
∎ Age about 40 years
