Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the leadership of the Project Director, provide technical direction, oversight, and management for overall strategy for implementing the program and improving antenatal care for young first-time mothers in Bangladesh.
∎ In collaboration with other team members, support training and capacity-building for health service providers and MOH staff at the facility and community levels to manage and implement successful maternal and child health programs and collaborate in the development of strategies.
∎ Provide technical assistance and participate in program planning.
∎ Oversee the design, development, and implementation of monitoring and evaluation strategies and systems to effectively capture and communicate project results in MNCH.
∎ Lead the development and documentation of effective tools and approaches for MNCH services (Project brief/Policy brief), and maintain an inventory of successful strategies and approaches.
∎ Document and share lessons learned in the area of MNCH in the format of project reports, publications and presentations at all levels.
∎ Organize meetings with relevant stakeholders especially technical working groups and professional bodies.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of Seven (8) years of experience working in developing country health systems with a focus on newborn, child and maternal health.
∎ Medical or nursing degree
∎ Demonstrated understanding of MNCH issues in Bangladesh.
∎ Demonstrated experience working effectively with program staff, implementing partners, civil society organizations, Professional bodies, community leaders and local and national government authorities to implement high impact MNCH and FP/RH services.
∎ Previous experience in implementing high-impact interventions for maternal and neonatal health a plus.
∎ Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
∎ Excellent organizational, analytical, oral and written communication skills in both English and Bengali.
∎ Qualified Bangladeshi nationals and international candidates are encouraged to apply.
∎ Availability to live in Dhaka and travel regularly to surrounding communities.
