Additional Requirements:
Practical Experience in Microsoft word and excel.
Strong technical knowledge of shipyard procedures, classification society rules, and statutory maritime requirements.
Demonstrated expertise in preparing repair specifications, evaluating RFQs, managing vendors, and controlling project costs.
Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.
Responsibilities & Context:
Repair & Maintenance Management: Plan, coordinate, and monitor vessel repair and maintenance activities, including dry docking, afloat repairs, and emergency breakdowns.
Technical Specifications & RFQs: Prepare technical specifications, repair scopes, Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and carry out technical evaluations.
Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination: Coordinate directly with shipyards, equipment manufacturers/makers, third-party vendors, and classification societies.
Documentation & Invoice Verification: Review technical reports, vendor quotations, invoices, and work completion documentation.
Cost & Schedule Control: Support repair budget control, cost optimization strategies, and project scheduling.
Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate technical records while ensuring full compliance with Company, Class, and statutory requirements.
Operational Performance: Assist in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing fleet reliability and operational performance.
