Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Implementing and maintaining the standard purchasing process, establishing purchase policy and strategy with a view to enhance savings and reduce waste.
∎ Make sure all the requisite and approved commodities availability as per the specification.
∎ Develop a purchasing & material sourcing policy, and set a standard lead time for delivering to the end consumer.
∎ Prepare reports on procurement activities, vendor performance, and market trends.
∎ Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply.
∎ Negotiate contract terms with key suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards, and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders if appropriate.
∎ Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
∎ Develop, implement, and maintain a supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance.
∎ Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of requirement specifications and expectations of the company.
∎ Keep up to date with market trends, new products, and pricing changes to ensure that the company is competitive in its procurement activities.
∎ Ensure compliance in all procure-to-pay processes & procurement rights.
∎ Onboard and develop value-added suppliers and nurture partnerships.
