Educational Requirements:
∎ Must have a Master or equivalent degree in any of the following subjects:
∎ Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science/BSc in Environmental Science or Geography and Environment/Botany/Zoology/Geology.
∎ PhD in relevant area is preferable.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assess the Environmental Impacts of any infrastructural Projects and biodiversity conservation and management
∎ Prepare Initial Environmental Examination (IEE), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) to mitigate the adverse environmental impact due to project implementations.
∎ Environmental quality sampling and testing related works such as Air Quality, Noise and Vibration Measurement, Water Quality, Soil Quality, sediment, Benthos and Plankton, etc.
∎ Develop compliance monitoring program and monitoring during construction and supervision projects.
∎ Team forming and Co-coordinating the field survey, designing checklist for conducting field visit etc.
∎ Consulting with various stakeholders about different environmental issues;
∎ Conduct study on issues related to environmental and climate change issues of the infrastructural projects.
∎ Developing and implementing the program/project operation plan, budget, advocacy plan of the project related to environmental management;
∎ Preparation of data and programme implementation reports, training materials,
∎ Attending different meetings with clients to understand their requirements and proposing convincing solution
∎ Maintaining Liaison with consulting firm, DoE, and different government bodies
∎ Working as environment, health and safety (ESHS) safeguard expert in international and national infrastructure project.
∎ Actively participate at every stage and discharge any other duties assigned by the authority regarding the environmental sector.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience in working on qualitative and quantitative data with good command over data management and analysis by using computer software especially Excel, GIS, Souldplan software and others.
∎ Should be able to undertake data reconciliations to identify data anomalies;
∎ Excellent communication (oral and writing) skills in both English and Bengali;
