Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct early detection screenings. Conducting thorough examinations, evaluating medical histories, and diagnosing various cardiac conditions in patients. Recommending and administering appropriate treatments, medications, and interventions.
∎ Performing a range of cardiac procedures such as angiograms, angioplasties, pacemaker implantation, echocardiograms, and other diagnostic and interventional procedures. Develop ongoing treatment and disease-management plans.
∎ Working closely with a multidisciplinary team that may include cardiothoracic surgeons, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
∎ Being available for emergency consultations or procedures for cardiac patients within the hospital, especially in critical situations like heart attacks or severe cardiac events.
∎ Ensuring that all procedures and practices meet regulatory standards and participating in quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of care.
∎ Offering expert consultations to patients, discussing their conditions, and guiding treatment options. Referring patients to other specialists or departments within the hospital when necessary.
∎ Participating in hospital committees, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and adhering to hospital policies and protocols.
∎ Keeping abreast of the latest developments in cardiology by engaging in continuous learning, research activities, and attending conferences. Some may also participate in teaching programs for medical students, residents, and fellows
