Responsibilities & Context:
∎ 1. Operates and maintains sophisticated instruments.
∎ 2. Properly set up, calibrate, maintain, operate, and shut down such instruments.
∎ 3. Receiving, Labeling, and Shorting the sample (blood, urine, etc.).
∎ 4. Designed and executed laboratory work and sample preparation according to standard procedure.
∎ 5. Work with possibly infected samples on a daily basis.
∎ 6. Using proper sterilization and safety techniques in the laboratory is essential.
∎ 7. Conducting experiments under defined conditions to verify or reject various types of samples using scientific laboratory methods.
∎ 8. Organizing and storing all chemicals, liquids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions.
∎ 9. Maintain results accurately and responsibly on the forms given, and then give them to the authorized consultant.
∎ 10. Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies.
∎ 11. Make sure that all safety rules are followed at all times and that the place stays clean and organized.
∎ 12. Continuous researching laboratory-related information.
∎ 13. Trains and orientates new biochemists in the performance and interpretation of tests.
∎ 14. To ensure that laboratory testing is accurate, timely, and meets customer needs.
