Educational Requirements:
∎ Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS) in MBBS

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): MBBS

Job Context:
∎ To be part of a team providing 24 hour medical support and immediate frist line resuscitation to any hospital patient, visitor or staff member required.
∎ To assist in the management of patients and provide back-up support to the consultant.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ A professional approch must be adopted with all patients, staff and visitors.
∎ RMOs must work within their level of experience and highlight verbally and in writing to the nurse in charge if they are being seeked to work outside the level of their competences.
∎ To provide medical cover, routine and emergency, during houres of duty and work in conjunction with other RMO provide a 24 hour services to the hospital.
∎ To clerk in and assess urgent admission as required as when the relivent consultant is not immediately available.
∎ To undertake a morning and evening ward round daily and if possible a member of the nursing staff when available ensuring patients are visited where appropriate.
∎ To make an entry in the patients notes as appropriate following ward rounds or any other patient examinations, communication or procedures.
∎ To receive a hard-over report on patients from the alterrnative RMO when commencing duty and attend the ward areas between both morning evening to enable and establish counsultant communication.
∎ The RMO can spend time in theatre, observing procedures if agreed by the counsultant and ward manager. The RMO must be aviblable to return to the ward and departmentss if required.
