Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree or Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or equivalent from a recognized institute
∎ In addition, most hospitals also require an RMO to have relevant working experience
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervising and visiting all ailing patients arrived to get hassle-free medical care whether patients are admitted in hospital/outdoor treatment.
∎ Responding to emergencies and assisting consultants in providing any operation
∎ Performing medical examinations and diagnosis
∎ Studying and modifying patients' diets regularly based on how the patient is responding to the already prescribed medication and treatment
∎ Supervising the duties of Junior M O, Nurses, Ward-boys etc.
∎ Working with other MO to provide, around-the-clock, services to patients
∎ Assessing urgent admissions as required when the consultant on duty is not immediately available
∎ Attending casualty calls
∎ Performing daily ward/cabin rounds for the interest of the patients.
∎ Signing claims and reimbursement documents
∎ Supervising and maintaining duties of nurses, Group D employees, and interns in the hospital
∎ Recruiting junior doctors, nurses, and visiting doctors as and when required
∎ Ensure the highest standard of patient care for all patients attending/admitted to the hospital.
∎ To ensure that the subordinate medical officers (EMO/IMO/NICU) are providing proper duty round or proper care to the patients.
∎ Medical Officers have to manage the duties and ensure that in the absence of one, the duties are assigned to another.
∎ To ensure that the subordinate Nurses are providing proper care to the patients.
∎ Ensure that the patients are in regular contact or follow-up with the consultants for the benefit of treatment.
∎ Ensure that discharge summaries and other correspondence are completed without delay as such the patient may leave the hospital very soon.
∎ All doctors should ensure computer printed discharge/prescription regularly.

∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Hospital/Medical College etc.
∎ Along with these requirements, an RMO should also have the following skills

∎ Problem-solving
∎ Decision-making
∎ Team working
∎ Administrative and management skills
