Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering
∎ Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from recognised university
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Arrange and chair daily and weekly technical meetings with the MEP contractor;
∎ Carry out daily inspection of the mechanical works by the MEP contractor and maintain daily records of progress and any non-compliances;
∎ Manage materials submittals process; make inspection of mechanical materials and equipment delivered to site for any defects or damage and in accordance with the specification;
∎ Review, comment and approve method statements from the MEP contractor for mechanical services installations;
∎ Ensure risk assessments are carried out by the contractor on all aspects of the mechanical services installation works. Review, comment and approve the same before the contractor commence work;
∎ Respond to technical queries from the MEP contractor as soon as possible and no later than the permitted time period in the contract and maintain records;
∎ Monitor the mechanical works by the MEP contractor and maintain a photographic record on any sub-standard works or non-compliances giving notice to the MEP contractor and the Project Manager;
∎ Attendance and witnessing of all testing and commissioning of the mechanical services installations;
∎ Maintain a record of defective works and ensure that they are rectified by the MEP contractor;
∎ Carry out interim and final snagging of the mechanical services;
∎ Read and fully understand clients EHS requirements and monitor the contractors EHS on site. Record and notify of any non-compliances by issuing a notice to the contractor and the Project Manager;
∎ Assess and record the progress of the works undertaken. Provide support to the UK base quantity surveyor in the preparation of monthly payment valuations;
∎ Review and comment of the O & M manuals and as built drawings prepared by the MEP contractor;
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Electro mechanical supervision project with experience in supervision/project planning/ quality assurance plan;
∎ Knowledge in health and safety management and experience in industrial projects are preferred;
∎ Execution of FIDIC Contract is highly preferred;
Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ As per company service rules applicable for contractual staffs
