∎ Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS), Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS) in FCPS Part 1
∎ University of Dhaka,Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University,Chittagong Medical University students will get preference
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 10 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Atleast 3 years experience in managing their respective critical units, Critical Care Medicine, emergency medicine
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Hospital
Job Context:
∎ Fully registered Medical Practitioner with the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council.
∎ Current enrollment in Post-graduate degree preferred or Member of BCPS.
∎ Ability and commitment to work within the Mission and Values of SMCH.
∎ Conversant with principles underpinning clinical governance and best practice
∎ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
∎ The ability to work in an interdisciplinary team environment

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Professional:
∎ Practice in accordance with SMCH and relevant Government Health policies and procedures, the position description, Code of Conduct, and industrial agreements.
∎ To undertake the care of patients in the Intensive Care Unit and High Dependency Unit
∎ attending at all cardiac arrests throughout the hospital;
∎ managing and resuscitating patients whose condition deteriorates in areas other than
∎ ICU/CCU/HDU/Medical Cardiology where that patient's specialist is not immediately available, including responding to nursing requests for assistance with patient care;
∎ transporting critically ill patients both within and outside the Hospital;
∎ Continually updating and extending personal medical knowledge and skills required for the performance of duties by regular attendance at clinical meetings and by reading current medical journals.
∎ Documentation:
∎ Ensures all reports required by various stakeholders are person orientated, effective, accurate, and provided on time.
∎ Communication:
∎ Ensures that all care that is delivered is documented and communicated to relevant members of the interdisciplinary health team.
∎ Ensures regular and effective communication with patient's visitors and relatives.
∎ Ensures regular and effective communication with hospital staff and medical officers.
∎ Attends and participates in the hospital decision-making forums and relevant hospital committees/forums as requested.
∎ communicating effectively with relevant staff and thus assisting in a coordinated approach to the care of patients.
∎ Decision Making:
∎ Participates in the development. Implementation and evaluation of clinical policies and guidelines.
∎ People and Culture:
∎ Work in accordance with the mission and vision of SMCH and actively participate in developing a culture that promotes SMCH values of healing, hospitality, stewardship, and respect.
