Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Procurement Planning: Developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with company objectives, ensuring timely availability of materials and services.
∎ Supplier Management: Identifying, evaluating, and selecting reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials.
∎ Purchase Order Processing: Generating purchase orders, monitoring order status, and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery and resolution of any issues.
∎ Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, forecasting demand, and optimizing inventory to minimize stock outs and excess inventory, ensuring efficient use of resources.
∎ Cost Control: Analyzing prices, negotiating discounts, and implementing cost-saving initiatives to optimize procurement costs and enhance profitability.
∎ Quality Assurance: Ensuring that purchased materials and products meet quality standards and specifications through supplier audits, inspections, and quality assurance processes.
∎ Compliance: Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to procurement activities, including ethical sourcing practices and regulatory compliance.Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate procurement records, preparing reports on procurement activities, performance metrics, and cost savings, and providing regular updates to management.
∎ Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement, streamlining procurement processes, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
∎ Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including production, finance, and quality assurance departments, to understand requirements, address issues, and support business objectives.
