∎ Graduation in civil engineering from a reputed university

∎ 5 to 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Set up Project office/site
∎ Monitoring daily production / performance of the dredgers.
∎ Conduct and check surveys to monitor progress
∎ Keep track of timelines, penalties that are likely to be imposed, suggest methods to prevent the same and take corrective actions.
∎ Obtain necessary clearances for the equipment engagement and demobilizing.
∎ Fulfill local rules and regulations in co-ordination with the clients as per the terms of the contract and submit various guarantees in connection with the project to clients.
∎ Carry out Hydro graphic surveys / billing surveys as specified in the contract.
∎ Inform corporate office regarding various terms of contract which needs their intervention
∎ Co-ordinate with the Project Coordinator for variations /deviations / extensions as defined in the contract.
∎ Complete project and demobilization of equipment
∎ The Project Manager has a direct reporting responsibility to the Project Coordinator and indirect reporting responsibility to the supporting head office departments such as HR, and Accounts department
∎ Communicate all relevant feedback to appropriate levels of responsibility such as on-site problems and opportunities
∎ Maintain relationships with clients, government institutions, regulatory authorities, subcontractors and suppliers
∎ Liaising with operating personnel; site, area and senior management to plan projects prior, during and after project execution
∎ Assist in settling invoice or contract disputes
∎ Budgeting expenses, forecast demand
∎ Manage site materials/equipment inventory in coordination with site store officer
Additional Requirements:
∎ Five to Ten (5-10) years in the dredging business or related field with knowledge in engineering and practical experience in leading teams and managing related types of projects.
∎ The Applicant needs to possess a fundamental knowledge of soil mechanics, drainage engineering, material process flow and sound practices in civil works, practical experience in process layout and control, engineering estimating, engineering analysis, project scheduling and construction management implementation techniques.
∎ Excellent problem solving abilities and experience with complex transactions with little supervision
∎ Excellent computer skills and the willingness to learn company created software for managing projects
∎ Excellent time management the ideal candidate will be personable, professional, be detail oriented and comfortable communicating and negotiating with subs/suppliers.
