Job Context:
∎ The key purpose of this position is to carry out the duties and responsibilities of `Technical Officer-Structural Design & Quality Control` to ensure the effective implementation of Shelter interventions maintaining the highest possible level of standards and quality by ensuring necessary support to the project and utilizing resources for implementation. In this circumstance, the organization is looking for a qualified individual to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the Shelter and Site Development Services.
∎ The duration of the contract will be until December 31, 2024.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ S/he will play a crucial role in the Shelter and Site Development Project within the Rohingya Refugee context. This role involves designing and overseeing the structural aspects of shelter construction and site development activities to ensure the safety and quality of the structures.
∎ Develop detailed structural designs for shelter and site development projects in compliance with relevant SPHERE standards, National codes, Government restriction and standards.
∎ Ensure structural designs consider the local environment, materials, and safety factors.
∎ Provide technical expertise in structural engineering to ensure the safety and stability of shelter and site development structures.
∎ Ensuring quality of shelter, site development and associated material by utilizing and supporting the quality control supervisor.
∎ Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and technical experts to address structural concerns.
∎ Recommend appropriate construction materials for shelter and site development projects, considering cost-effectiveness and durability.
∎ Evaluate the suitability of available materials in the context.
∎ Implement quality control measures to ensure the construction of structures according to the approved structural designs.
∎ Conduct regular site visits to inspect the construction progress and address any structural issues.
∎ Provide technical training and guidance to project staff and construction teams on structural engineering best practices.
∎ Transfer knowledge and skills to CFW Beneficiaries to enhance their understanding of structural design by Organizing Training.
∎ Any other task assigned by the management based on the gap and requirement of the project.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience in Designing Steel and RCC multistoried structures.
∎ Minimum 02 Years of working experience in the shelter & Site Development relevant field in the Rohingya Camp.
∎ Professional experience in different shelters and site development in the humanitarian context.
∎ Basic computer knowledge of Auto CAD, MS office applications.
∎ Good communication and networking skills both in Bangla & English. Fluency in Local language will get preferences
