Job Responsibilities:
∎ Analyzing existing operations, livestock, staff, financial documents and recommending improvements.
∎ Supervise the day-to-day operations on the farm.
∎ Monitoring the health of animals to detect illness or injury and taking action to remedy the situation.
∎ Advertising and marketing farm products or the work of the farmer.
∎ May also be involved in marketing and sales efforts to sell the milk produced by cows.
∎ Visiting the different divisions to inspect crops, livestock.
∎ Determining herd health and diet requirements to ensure that animals are healthy and productive.
∎ Ensuring food and other supplies are regularly restocked.
∎ Budgeting and maintaining accurate records.
∎ Organising sales and purchases of livestock, farm equipment, crops and agricultural products.
∎ Hands-on tasks such as feeding animals.
∎ Recruiting, training and supervising farm workers.
∎ Ensuring that all safety regulations are met at all times to minimize risk of injury or death to workers or animals.
∎ Keeping an up-to-date knowledge of pests and diseases.
∎ Responding to emergencies and solving problems effectively.
∎ Ensuring that the farm is profitable and meets projected financial targets.
∎ Organising maintenance/repair of farm property, equipment and machinery.
∎ Conducting research on new farming techniques or equipment that may improve efficiency or reduce costs.
∎ Building professional networks and keeping abreast of developments in agricultural science.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 50 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
∎ The ability to make decisions in stressful environments.
∎ Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Willingness to work overtime as required.
∎ Extensive experience in a Management of farms.
