Educational Requirements:
∎ PhD in Microbiology with MSC Medical microbiology
∎ Medical Microbiologist with work experience in Molecular Virology.
∎ Candidates with MD pathology, MD Microbiology, MD Biochemistry, Ph.D. Microbiology with MSC Medical microbiology who can report Molecular biology can also be considered.
∎ Must have Team Management (Lab Staff) experience.
∎ Must have Knowledge of local regulations in setting up a Lab.
∎ Must have good communication skills (English)
∎ Proficiency in using MS office
∎ Skills Required: clinical research center, health care, Hospital operations, Micro-Biologist
Experience Requirements:
∎ 8 to 10 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Microbiologist, Molecular Virology
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Clinic, Diagnostic Centre, Hospital
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oversee the daily operational activities of both the technical and non-technical operations.
∎ Building up and leading the Testing Team to the success of the project.
∎ Collaborating and liaising with healthcare professionals and industrial and clinical colleagues
∎ Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel.
∎ Managing laboratories.
∎ Using a variety of biochemical and molecular methods to determine organisms that cause infection.
∎ Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate assay coverage
∎ Research and resolve any production errors and escalating when necessary
∎ Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
∎ To make scientific and technical leadership of all virology laboratory whole service, including new test and technology development.
∎ Effectively manage the staffing of the department and monitor the production schedule. Resolves client inquiries and operational issues in a timely manner by consulting with the Medical Director, Technical Director, other laboratory managers, discipline directors, laboratory directors, or corporate operations.
∎ Assist with developing and implementing laboratory procedures as well as installation of equipment and methods according to scheduled timelines
∎ Ensures effective communication with Leadership, Clients, Sales, Corporate Operations, as well as direct reports and all departmental staff
∎ Maintains medical laboratory information system by identifying information needs and problems; recommending improvements; establishing priorities; testing; writing user manuals; training employees; maintaining security and confidentiality.
∎ Maintains medical laboratory equipment performance by establishing quality standards; developing operations, quality, and troubleshooting procedures; ensuring staff compliance; certifying instrument performance; arranging equipment replacement, service, and repair.
∎ Ensure laboratory tests are accurately performed and results are reported in a timely manner
∎ Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures
