Educational Requirements:
∎ University Degree or above, preferably with major in Apparel Manufacturing & Merchandising and/or Supply Chain Operations Management from reputed university.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 8 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work directly with designated vendors to maintain accurate WIP data, vendors' scorecards, follow production management process, utilize data to analyze and report underperforming vendors and identify supply risks.
∎ Communicate with vendors and internal teams (US Ops, Sourcing and Satellite offices) to proactively support execution of manufacturing activities, escalate high risk orders and realized operational issues as appropriate.
∎ Collect vendor capacity capabilities as well as ensure that move-up production plans are executed.
∎ Deliver global production risk, slide summary and vendor performance analyses, as required.
∎ Be a Subject Matter Expert for the vendor community on production planning processes/rules; communicate and monitor any special shipping needs for specific customers (preferably Wal-Mart, Target USA, Costco etc...)
∎ Collaborate cross functionally to solve production and delivery related; identify and mitigate preproduction development and manufacturing risks, outlining possible root causes and potential solutions.
∎ Act as a gatekeeper to ensure applying all required processes for smooth execution.
∎ Ensure timely and accurate production risk reporting and negotiate better deliveries where possible.
∎ Monitor timely shipment booking request and shipment closure utilizing automated reporting for designated suppliers.
∎ Assist in documenting process and building training materials and participate in vendor trainings.
∎ Provide external training to suppliers on production management process, eSPS PO slide module and Intellimas WIP module etc.
∎ Partner with the Production Planning Manager and other key related stakeholders on ad-hoc projects.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 8 years of working experience in related field (including factory + buying office). Prior working experience with HK team will be treated as an added advantage.
∎ Strong foundation in Apparel manufacturing, Production Planning, Capacity Management and end to end Supply Chain processes with the ability to operate independently.
∎ Ability to engage vendor and build partnerships under challenging environments and tight deadlines.
∎ Experience in handling Baby/Children-wear products including sweater category is an advantage.
∎ Well organized, systematic, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
∎ Capacity planning and LEAN manufacturing experience a plus.
∎ Hands on and through risk analysis of product, line management with the output expertise.
∎ Ability to anticipate risks and identify contingency plan and processes to prevent disruptions when risks occur.
∎ Good command of written and spoken English and capable of providing direction and conveying concepts.
∎ Advanced skills using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc...)
