Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collaborate closely with the acquisitions and content teams to identify book requirements, genres, and target audiences.
∎ Source and procure a diverse range of books from publishers, distributors, and suppliers, ensuring alignment with our customer's needs.
∎ Prepare purchase orders accurately, considering factors like book specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines.
∎ Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with book suppliers, negotiating terms, pricing, and contracts for efficient procurement.
∎ Monitor stock levels of books and coordinate with the inventory team to avoid stockouts and overstocking.
∎ Participate in evaluating potential suppliers based on criteria such as quality, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
∎ Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry standards.
∎ Maintain meticulous records of procurement transactions and documentation for auditing purposes.
∎ Stay informed about industry trends, popular book releases, and emerging authors.
