Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Interpret blueprints and isometric drawing: Thoroughly understand technical drawings and written instructions to determine fabrication requirements, including pipe sizes, materials, and layouts.
∎ Select and prepare materials: Choose appropriate pipe materials based on project needs, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, or plastic.
∎ Utilize cutting tools and machinery to prepare pipes to correct dimensions and angles.
∎ Employ various techniques like cutting, bending, threading, and grooving to shape pipes according to specifications.
∎ Operate cutting torches, saws, bending machines, and threading equipment safely and efficiently.
∎ Utilize different welding techniques (e.g., stick, MIG, TIG) to join pipe sections and fittings securely, adhering to strict quality control standards.
∎ Conduct visual and non-destructive testing to ensure weld integrity.
∎ Assemble piping systems:
∎ Follow blueprints and layouts to assemble intricate piping systems, ensuring proper alignment, support, and leak-free connections.
∎ Install valves, flanges, and other necessary components.
∎ Perform fabrication tasks:
