Responsibilities & Context:

• Read and interpret piping drawings, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install pipes and piping systems according to approved drawings.
• Measure, mark, cut, bevel, bend, and prepare pipes according to required dimensions.
• Perform pipe fit-up, alignment, leveling, and positioning before welding.
• Install flanges, valves, elbows, tees, reducers, supports, and other pipe fittings.
• Prepare pipe joints and surfaces for welding and coordinate with qualified welders.
• Perform tack welding where required to maintain proper alignment and fit-up.
• Use oxy-fuel/plasma cutting, grinding, drilling, threading, and other pipe fabrication tools safely.
• Check pipe dimensions, angles, gaps, alignment, and tolerances during fabrication and installation.
• Assist with hydrostatic, pneumatic, leakage, and pressure testing of piping systems.
• Identify and rectify pipe fitting, alignment, and fabrication defects.
• Follow piping specifications, work instructions, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with welders, engineers, supervisors, QC inspectors, and other trades.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use all required PPE.
• Complete assigned fabrication and installation work within project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
