Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate pharmacy activities in providing best services to the Admitted patients.
∎ Review the prescription order of physicians to ensure "right drug" to the "right patient" at the "right dose and dosage forms" of medicines with short period of time.
∎ Provide quality dispensing services in- (i) Accuracy of drug dispensing, (ii) excellent patients' services, (iii) minimize patient waiting time (iv) proper labeling and identification of dispensed medicines.
∎ Identify prescription error, counseling with prescribers for correcting errors, and report prescription error.
∎ Check Expiry on regular basis and return the short expiry medicine to the SCM before one months of expiry date.
∎ Participate in Inventory of pharmacy.
∎ Participate in the Adverse Drug Reaction reporting program of the hospital. Collect the filled ADR forms and submit it to the Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee (PTC).
∎ Adhering drug therapy to the patients through proper education and counseling as per prescription.
∎ Monitor Physician's order and the medication incompatibilities ensuring the proper dispensing of pharmaceuticals.
∎ Maintain and records all types of pharmacy documentation.
∎ Responsible to make liaison with other departments for smooth functioning of the pharmacy.
∎ Provide accurate and comprehensive information about drug and drug related information to other health care professionals and patients. (Provide advisory service to medical and nursing staff on all aspects of Drug Information and product availability)
∎ Maintain accurate records and control of all narcotic and controlled drugs according to the departmental policy and procedure.
∎ Ensure appropriate storing, record the room temperature and refrigerator temperature.
