Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Providing a welcoming first impression, guiding patients through check-in, and verifying patient information.
∎ Scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming patient appointments, coordinating with medical staff for smooth appointment flow.
∎ Managing incoming calls, answering general inquiries, and routing calls to the appropriate departments or personnel.
∎ Updating and managing patient information, including medical history, insurance details, and contact information.
∎ Assisting with patient billing, insurance verification, and processing payments.
∎ Answering patient questions, providing directions, and offering general support and guidance.
∎ Ensuring the reception area is clean, organised, and inviting.
∎ Helping with the administrative aspects of patient admissions and discharges.
∎ Managing incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails.
∎ Performing administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and record keeping.
∎ Dhaka Eye Care Hospital (DECH) provides premium services to patients. The Hospital will appoint some PCOs with diverse responsibilities, primarily focused on patient interaction and administrative tasks. They greet patients, manage appointments, handle inquiries, and maintain patient records. Additionally, they often assist with billing, medical transcriptions, and ensuring a welcoming and organised reception area.
