Job Context:
∎ We need some eye hospital equipment user / operator, who will operate our all type of world latest equipment perfectly
∎ Ophthalmic Technician Skills:
∎ History taking/medical charting.
∎ Pupillary assessment.
∎ Lensometry.
∎ Keratometry.
∎ Ocular motility.
∎ Refractometry.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Tests and measures eye function to assist OPHTHALMOLOGIST to diagnose and treat eye disorders and disease: Tests patient's far acuity, near acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color perception to assist OPHTHALMOLOGIST to diagnose and treat eye disorders and disease.
∎ Examines eye, using slit lamp, for abnormalities of cornea, and anterior and posterior chambers.
∎ Applies drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes.
∎ Measures intraocular pressure of eyes.
∎ Tests patient's field of vision, including central and peripheral vision, for defects, and charts test results on graph paper.
∎ Measures axial length of eye, using ultrasound equipment.
∎ Performs other tests and measurements as requested by physician.
∎ Gives instructions to patients concerning eye care.
∎ May supervise other technicians and be known as Chief Ophthalmic Technician.
∎ Capable to operate all hospital equipment for investigation,
∎ Ensure daily target based investigation.
∎ Ensure Maintenance and servicing of the machinery.
∎ Make regular report to the authority.
∎ Other task assigned by the authority.
∎ Taking patient medical histories.
∎ Instructing patients about medications, tests and procedures.
∎ Performing vision and diagnostic tests.
∎ Assisting with patient procedures.
∎ Coordinating patient scheduling.
∎ Supervising and training other allied ophthalmic personnel.
∎ Performing office management duties.
∎ Ophthalmology technologists or ophthalmology medical technicians assist ophthalmologists in diagnosing eye diseases and in performing eye surgery. Their job duties include performing diagnostic tests, maintaining equipment and explaining concepts to patients
∎ Following current isolation procedures, clean exam rooms, procedure tables, equipment and other work areas according to
∎ guidelines.
∎ Stock clinical workstations, exam/procedure rooms as assigned, inventory specialty items and initiate reorder of supplies as needed
