Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Receive, inspect, and safely store incoming chemical shipments.
∎ Safely store chemicals in designated areas, ensuring proper segregation and labeling according to safety regulations.
∎ Maintain accurate inventory records and track stock levels to anticipate reorder needs.
∎ Prepare and maintain documentation related to chemical inventory, including material safety data sheets (MSDS) and inventory reports.
∎ Coordinate with procurement to order chemicals as needed, ensuring timely delivery.
∎ Monitor the expiration dates and shelf life of chemicals, disposing of expired or unusable materials as necessary.
∎ Collaborate with the safety team to ensure compliance with chemical handling and storage regulations, including proper labeling and storage procedures.
∎ Conduct regular inspections of the chemical storage area to identify and address any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
∎ Assist in the development and implementation of procedures to improve efficiency and minimize waste in the chemical management process.
