About us:
The American International School Dhaka (AISD) is expanding our well-established Family Health Practice to include therapeutic interventions for children. As part of our commitment to nurturing every student`s potential, AISD will soon be opening a Sensory Learning Hub, providing Occupational Therapy support for children with diverse needs, serving both our AISD school community and the broader local Dhaka community. We are seeking a dynamic Occupational Therapist to help establish and grow this expansion.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a dual capacity role. You will provide expert therapeutic services within our school setting and contribute to our Family Health and Child Development Practice. This unique position offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients while helping establish a center of excellence in pediatric therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
Therapeutic Services:
Partner in the comprehensive evaluation of children`s sensory processing, motor skills, and functional abilities
Implement individualized treatment plans focusing on sensory integration, motor development, and functional skills
Support children with various profiles, including neurodiversity, developmental delays, and learning differences
Provide therapeutic interventions targeting academic, regulatory, and communication needs
Foster independence in activities of daily living and academic tasks
Program Development:
Contribute to the establishment and growth of our Family Health and Child Development Practice
Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
Develop home programs and provide parent/caregiver education
Create therapeutic environments that promote engagement and development
Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives
Professional Practice:
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessments and interventions
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student success
Stay current with evidence-based practices in pediatric occupational therapy
Contribute to staff education and professional development initiatives
Participate in team meetings and case conferences
