Job Context:
∎ Kranti Associates Ltd. was established in 1989 to provide development and management consultancy Services to a wide spectrum of both public as well as private sector clientele. Over the years, Kranti has successfully undertaken 220+ projects, both funded by Government of Bangladesh as well as important development partners like World Bank, ADB, EU, IFAD, CIDA, SIDA, the Governments of Germany & The Netherlands. Kranti has also executed a mentionable number of projects in association with foreign firms.
∎ Kranti Associates Ltd. is now inviting applications from competent candidates for the position of Municipal Engineer for consultancy assignment with our prospective clients.
∎ Job Location: 75 Municipal Engineers will be posted in 75 different Pourashava/Upazilas.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work under the general supervision and guidance of the Team Leader.
∎ Assist the PSs in the selection of eligible sub-project using sub-project selection criteria supported by economic, social, and environmental safeguards according to rules/policies/guidelines of GoB and ADB.
∎ Assist the Pourashava in implementing the infrastructure improvement sub-projects.
∎ Assist the Pourashava in the preparation of bid documents, detailed design, and estimate, etc.
∎ Assist PIUs in tender evaluation and contract award process.
∎ Held contract administration and supervision to ensure quality control of sub-projects.
∎ Ensure regular checking and supervision of works at field level and conform quality and quantity of work as per specification and certify bills for construction work.
∎ Assist Pourashavas in preparation of Pourashava Development Plan (PDP) meeting all necessary requirements including environmental and social safeguard with liaison and coordination with consultants.
∎ Assist to conduct necessary training at Pourashava level.
∎ Perform any other relevant duties as may be required by the management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years' experience in planning and implementation of urban related infrastructure improvement activities of civil engineering works.
∎ Minimum 8 years practical experience in planning and implementation of urban infrastructures (such as building, road, drain, culvert, market, community center, etc.)

Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Dominant work schedule will be 5 days on/ 2 days off basis. Work Schedule may vary as per Client`s rules.
