Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma or B.Sc in medical technology in Radiology and Imaging.
∎ Skills Required: Computer Operating, Medical Knowledge.
∎ Candidate passed from IHT (Dhaka) will get priory.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assesses requisition for the appropriateness of the procedure Asks patient to state name and verify name with documents or paper of patient.
∎ Explains the procedure
∎ Performs radiologic procedures as assigned adhering to prescribed techniques. Use Lead Markers on all film
∎ Prepares and administers contrast agents necessary for radiologic examinations of internal organs
∎ Assesses and observes patients for adverse reactions during procedures
∎ Prepares patient for procedures
∎ Explains procedures, assists, and transfers patient to table, positions patient's body for accurate images, and assists patient at end of the procedure
∎ Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and specific X-Rays adjusts equipment, determines proper voltage, current, and desired exposure time, arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain the position of the patient, adjust lead shields to protect unaffected parts of the patient's body, adjusts cone to direct concentration of rays on the specific area and selects proper film.
∎ Observes patient and equipment during procedures and reports unusual occurrences and records patient's condition
∎ Transports patients within the department, to and from the waiting area as required
∎ Processes images/film in accordance with guidelines and photographic techniques
∎ Performs quality control activities to ensure optimal quality radiographs
∎ Prepares and maintains radiologic records, files, and technical worksheets
∎ Disinfects patient rooms
∎ Follow infection control and safety guidelines
∎ Any other tasks as assigned by the management
