Job Context:
∎ SHIMANTIK is a national NGO working in different areas of Bangladesh and implements health, family planning and nutrition related projects. SHIMANTIK is looking for qualified female Medical Officer/Physician for its projects in Dhaka, Sylhet and Barishal city corporation areas.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka South City Corporation (Ward no. 1,2,3,4,12,73,74,75, 46,47,49,50,51, 52, 54, 60,61,66,67), Sylhet City Corporation and Barishal City Corporation.
∎ Duration: Initially for 1 year.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall management of the primary health care center (PHCC).
∎ Provide hands on training to Nurses and Paramedics and other staff
∎ Examining the women attending clinics for maternal and child health care and family planning.
∎ Providing ANC, PNC, RH, Adolescent health etc.
∎ Provide ultrasonography services to ANC patient
∎ Implement nutrition interventions according to norms, standards and protocols, e.g; growth monitoring, screening, identification and treatment for SAM, referral to identified cases etc.
∎ Early diagnosis and treatment of RTI/STI.
∎ Providing non-stigmatizing and non-discriminatory health management.
∎ Providing quality RTI/STI care through syndrome case management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ One year practical working experience, preference will be given for ultrasonologist who has completed six month diploma course and has practical experience to doing ultrasonography.
