Educational Requirements:
∎ MBBS from a reputed medical institute of Bangladesh with valid registration from BMDC with one year internship is required. A Masters degree in Public Health (MPH) in a related field will be given preference.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Position description:
∎ The USAID's Alliance for Combating TB in Bangladesh project will develop a dynamic, strategic, and fresh approach to accelerate Bangladesh's fight against TB. The solutions will be aimed at creating an environment aligned with the universal health coverage (UHC) vision and focused on defined priority areas - increased TB detection, decentralized DR-TB management, child TB, expanded prevention and others.
∎ The Medical Officer will report to the Project Coordinator. The position will be responsible for providing technical assistance to roll out all oral MDR TB treatment at National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital (NIDCH) and other chest disease hospitals with the objective of improving MDR TB treatment outcome within the guidelines of the national operational manual; and organizational values and guidelines. There will 4 positions that will be based in Rajshahi, Sylhet, Khulna, and Pabna. The positions may require frequent travel to other field sites and field offices in Bangladesh.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 03 years of experience is required. Knowledge and experience on MDR TB patient management will be considered as an added advantage.
Salary:
∎ Annual Tk. 1,349,070/- inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances and other admissible benefits.
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Benefits/facilities: 14.8% provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,917/- per child per month, festival bonus, contributory healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, group life insurance and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
