Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Medical in Medical Assistant (eg. MATS), Diploma in Nursing
∎ Diploma Course (minimum 3 years) from Medical Assistant Training School as an accredited academic institution and recognized & registered by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC).
∎ Experienced Male candidates or nurses in Medical Institute and Health Care are encouraged to apply for this position at Sneha Drug Addict Rehabilitation Center, Rangpur.

Job Context:
∎ You will be responsible monitor patients` conditions and assessing their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
∎ You will be responsible observe and interpreting patients` symptoms and communicating them to physicians.
∎ You will be responsible collaborate with Physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify medical care requirements of patients by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients with special attention to women, girls, boys and men to ensure that their needs are met equally.
∎ Explain medical procedures to the patients/beneficiaries as well as establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
∎ Provide treatment and active management of both the outpatients and inpatients in medically supported conditions under technical guidance and supervision of the Medical Officer
∎ Assist the patients in understanding their condition, medication with dose intervals and other doctor's recommendations as well as teach patients, friends, and family to understand self-care skills; by answering questions.
∎ Assist Medical Doctors in conducting health examinations including history taking, measurement, treatment, medication management and dispensing, immunization and collating medical reports and also in performing medical procedures and referrals including but not limited to other patient follow-up and specimen collection when required.
∎ Guide and assist Queue Manager/Support Staff in patient triage, infection control and prevention, patient counselling, cleanliness etc.
∎ Maintain a daily checklist of all medical and delivery equipment and medicines to ensure that all medical kits are ready and fully stocked, with all medical supplies organized, listed, and within the expiration period.
∎ Ensures operations of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
∎ Keep required documents of patients' care services by updating patient registers and other records regularly. Also, assist Medical Doctor in preparing the daily report for further submission.
∎ Assist Medical Doctors in identifying priority health needs and other activities including but not limited to any regular disease outbreak monitoring, collecting statistical information, taking part in health awareness campaigns, etc.
∎ Regularly maintain and update the record of patient care and other information related to the patient. Assist medical doctors in preparing the daily report.
∎ Participating in field missions out of duty station where required.
∎ Perform such other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 30 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Previous experience in any organization related to medical care is an advantage. Knowledge and experience working in the field and medical emergency department and Trauma management will be added as an advantage.
∎ Effectively applies knowledge on clinical skills, bedside manner, infection control, administering medication, phlebotomy, maintenance etc.
∎ Adequate practical knowledge of handling stitching for first aid care and its complications
∎ Works effectively with administrative authorities, medical sectors, and beneficiaries
∎ Familiar with Computer Basic Knowledge and MS Office package.
∎ Languages: Fluency in Bangla and English Writing is required.
∎ Competencies: The incumbent is expected to demonstrate the following competencies which are Accountability, Client Orientation, Continuous Learning, Communication, Creativity and Initiative, Leadership and Negotiation, and Performance Management.
