Job Context:
∎ SMEC is a global development and engineering consultancy with a strong presence in the South and Central Asia region. We are currently looking for Mechanical Engineer on contractual basis for 4( Four) months through our local Subsidiary ACE Consultants Ltd.
∎ Primary Purpose of this position is to manage the MEP works and coordinating with the contractor and client to ensure smooth operation ensuring health and safety measures in the site.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review design and prepare basic design of mechanical equipment for the water treatment plant including water intake facilities/water transmission and distribution facilities
∎ Prepare specification of mechanical works if required
∎ Prepare BOQ of mechanical works if required
∎ Check the shop drawings submitted by the contractors
∎ Assess the substitution of products proposed by the contractors
∎ Supervise the installation work of mechanical equipment
∎ Attend the factory inspection together with CWASA's engineer if requested
∎ Attend the trial operation of mechanical equipment
Salary: Negotiable
